We are Jeannie and Meg Moore, a mother and daughter (in-law) portrait photography team in Northern Virginia. We strive for excellence and provide heirloom-quality products.
Jeannie is a former elementary school and special education teacher. She was born and raised in Colorado Springs, CO, with Pikes Peak in her backyard. At a young age she developed a love for beautiful scenery. While in college she met her husband, Rich, a cadet at the Air Force Academy. They moved around with the military, allowing them to see much of the U.S. Jeannie and Rich are the parents of four “Awesome” adult children and are Campbell and Hudson's grandparents. While their family was young Jeannie developed a love for scrapbooking and also for photography as she took pictures for her scrapbooks. As her children grew, so did her eye for quality and her passion for photography.
Meg has been gaining skills as a photographer for most of her life. She grew up in a military family, moving every few years. Her grandfather introduced her to photography and her brother, Grant, is a photographer in Charlotte, NC, so photography runs in her blood. Meg also developed a love for scrapbooking and took thousands of pictures during her travels to Europe, the Middle East and Australia. When her son, Campbell, was born photography took on a whole new meaning. Photography became her way to document her son's life and preserve it for future generations. Her academic background is in Advertising and Public Relations, so she brings her business skills to Drawn to the Light. Her husband, Chris, brought this photography team together.
